MARKET LIVE: Sensex, Nifty remain subdued ahead of F&O expiry; PSBs gain

Benchmark indices remained subdued while trading in a tight range for majority of the day on Thursday ahead of the expiry of the November series of the Futures and Options contracts. Earlier in the session, both the S&P BSE Sensex and the broader Nifty50 index hit fresh record high levels. The Sensex later pared some gains to to trade flat around 41,025 levels.

Tata Steel (up 2%), ICICI Bank (up 2%), IndusInd Bank (up 1%) were the top gainers in the Sensex pack. Conversely, HDFC, Hero MotoCorp (both down 2%) were the top losers. The broader Nifty50 index was hovering around ...
